The Boss SL2 Slicer Pedal is here to expand your creative horizons. Break away from your typical song format by slicing and chopping up your music, creating entirely new grooves and percussive beats on the fly! Offering both single and dual Slicer paths processed with internal effects, the sounds and rhythms you can create with the SL-2 are truly staggering.

Instantly elevate your performance using the 88 pre-loaded patterns and then tweak the slices using the Tempo and Duty knobs. And to dial in a timing mid performance, you can use the tap tempo setting to seamlessly sync up to your song. If that’s not enough, then you can also attach up to two footswitches or an expression pedal for external parameter control, putting you firmly in command of your slices. Compatible with many different instruments, the SL-2 Slicer offers you an entirely new approach to music.

Integrate with any setup

With both stereo and mono input and output, the SL2 will seamlessly integrate into your setup. Thanks to its seven stereo output modes you’ve got plenty of options! Those include Fixed, EFX/Direct, Random, Ping-Pong, Auto, 3D Cross, and 3D Rotation. And what’s more, you can be sure of a consistent signal performance thanks to true bypass switching.

Adjust the effect to your taste

Once you’ve got a slice of your music, you can alter and adjust the effect to suit your rhythmic needs using the Attack and Duty knobs. These control the wave shape and length of the sliced audio, allowing for rapid stutters or smooth, elongated drones. Experiment with these to unlock some transformative tones!

You can also adjust the overall effect level with up to 12db plus or minus, letting the SL2 serve as background noise or the front and centre of your song.

Unlock more patterns with the Boss Tone Studio app

While there’s a huge number of grooves and rhythms loaded into the SL2 by default, you can unlock even more by connecting the pedal to the Boss Tone Studio app. Simply connect to a Mac or Windows device using a USB and discover tonnes of alternate patterns.
