The Boss OS2 Overdrive/Distortion Pedal combines two iconic circuits into one enclosure to truly offer the best of both worlds. The DS-1 is one of the most iconic distortion pedals ever, loved by Kurt Cobain and Joe Satriani alike, while the SD-1 is the most distinctive overdrive in existence heavily used by the likes of Eddie Van Halen and David Gilmour; now get the authentic sounds of both from one Boss pedal.

The ‘Color’ control on the far right blends the two circuits into one huge sound, further to the right will venture more towards brilliant distortion whereas left leans more towards gritty overdrive, finding your sweet spot in the middle is where the joy lays with the OS-2.

Interestingly, these two circuits compliment each other remarkably well thanks in part to the SD-1 clipping asymmetrically while the DS-1 clips symmetrically so you get the harmonic purity and richness of the DS-1’s symmetrical clipping and the gritty crunch of the SD-1 asymmetrical clipping.
