This book is either a continuation of the TEACH ME TO PLAY series for the young beginner or a first study book in its own right for the older beginner. The material in this book ranges from a presentation of practice procedures through the establishment of the hand positions for the keys of C G and F, to compositions that fully explore these keys. Simple pedalling, metronome use and basic harmony are also included. Book 1 concludes with a presentation of the scales and arpeggios in their simplest forms.
